I've Always Asked the Question
I've Always Asked the Question
Nathan Sokalski

I've always asked the question,
Is there a life for which to wait,
When the current one's so painful,
And the past one was so great?

I was first taken from my friends,
And then my job was taken from me,
I soon had a life that had no others,
And there was then no one left to see!

Things of the past that brought me joy,
Are now restricted from the scene,
And I've tried substitutes of many,
But there seem no more friends on which to lean!

So please tell me if you hear me,
Will I ever find you once again,
Because if happiness is in my future,
It is you that will make it then!
